This museum is not well advertised. Best to get a permission letter in advance. We failed to do so but turned up at the naval base at 2pm with our passports and a driver. We were treated very nicely by the friendly staff and allowed...More

there is a fair amount of historic details at the various levels of the tower-the climb would be difficult for the less agile

Great if you can go in the morning with having a boat ride around the Trincomalee watching prima factory and around naval base. You can see and experience war guns and historical guns in the museum. Don't forget to get the assistant of a guide.
