A huge bell indeed, and you can hear it by paying 1000 won to strike it with huge piece of wood. It was an experience and what is one dollar?

Hyowon’s Bell is located on the top of Paldalsan (Mountain) which is in Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. You can enjoy the fortress and see Suwon city from the top of mountain. You have to pay for ringing the bell and pray.

When walking around the wall you will run into the bell. There is a cost to ring the bell. I did not pay but just took a picture.

Fee is 1,000 KRW. Sounds great and is a nice, heavy bell. Right by the Hwaseong Fortress. Good location
