The place was great, the area was smaller than i expected though, my expectation was the whole town have these old houses and structures but turned out it was just the street of Calle Crisologo.

It was like time traveling because of that ancient old traditional vibe. People are kind by the way. We stayed at a small inn or hotel (Calle Crisologo) and i was stunned on how they preserved the house. Me and my wife enjoyed our visit.

Who is not familiar with the iconic street in Calle Crisologo. A must visit when you are in Ilocos. You will admire this historical place that reminds you of the early Spanish days. The houses or infrastructures should be maintain and preserve to retain this historical place.

I've been planning to visit this place for years...and upon seeing it in all it's splendor one rainy May evening, a tear fell.

Fall in love, take in the historical value, and avail of the good food that Vigan has to offer. And don't forget to take that calesa ride.

Calle Crisologo should not be missed from your itinerary when you are in Vigan. The structure here is too magnificent to look at and really admirable through the years that it went through. This instagrammable tourist spot is a must visit.

Calle Crisologo remains as the main tourist destination of Ilocos Sur. It is gradually recovering from the negative impact of COVID-19 as the Ilocos region opens its doors to domestic tourists and visitors are now flocking to the place once again. It's always a pleasure to walk along its cobblestone covered street, admire the old ancestral houses along the way, and look for souvenirs at the shops at almost every corner of the street. Learn how to haggle, though.

The best time to visit this place is either early in the morning or in late afternoon when it's not that hot anymore. However, expect to see more people at this time. Btw if you are after old ancestral houses, you'll find them also along the streets parallel to Calle Crisologo. The only difference is that only Calle Crisologo is closed to motorized vehicles while the other streets are not. Only horse-drawn carriages or "calesas" are allowed to ply the route, which gives it a more old Spanish feel. Also try the various eateries there and satisfy your craving for authentic Ilocano dishes. Lastly, remember that museums and mansions in Vigan are closed to the public on Mondays.

Come here instead and do not go to Intramuros in Manila. If your in Intramuros expect people on the streets to NEVER stop harassing you to offer/sell you tours, rides, etc. Even if you say NO a hundred times, they don't care and they will not leave you alone (doesn't matter if your a foreigner or local pinoy) because they are used to rejection.

When I first walked the streets in Calle Crisologo, I was shocked that the people selling stuff will ask me only once, and when I politely refuse, they will just walk away and will not bother you.

You will see the same horseriders (just like in Intramuros) come sell you a ride, and after hearing that your not interested, they will respectfully and nicely carry on.

Because of this, I must say, I enjoyed my time and experience in Calle Crisologo WAY MORE than in Intramuros.

Being there made me feel as if I'd been taken back in time. This location is steeped in history. It symbolizes a basic yet lavish ambiance that everybody may enjoy. I can't convey how much I enjoyed being in this location. My time there was one of the most unforgettable of my life.

It is one of my favorite memorable travel experience. Calle crisologo street is a shopping haven! You will see the whole street lined up with lots of cool restaurants, Souvenir shops, and antique shops. The best part everything is so affordable you can buy anything you want.

It was a great travel experience in Calle Crisologo, very nostalgic and the place will totally bring you from the past. I was amazed especially in the night because of the atmosphere it's very vintage and instagramable, the structures, buildings, houses will bring you to the past. A fun experience with my friends and classmates.
