this is one of the navagraha temple.this temple is approximately 7km from kumbakonam.The main deity of the temple Naganatha Swamy is Nageswarar-Shiva in Linga form.

the temple is about 6 kms from Kumbakonam and is quite conspicious from the main road. it is on kumbakonam-karaikal road

Kala Sarpha Dosa , Naga Dosa Nivarthi Sthalam ( temple). Dovotees offer milk Abishekam to lord Raghu during Raghu Kalam by donating Rs. 1000/- , Rs.500/- and Rs100/- Tickets. Heavy crowd during ragu Kalam.

This temple Eswar is Naganathan swamy. There is separate shrine for RAHU.... Sunday raghukal is the most crowded time. People can buy small silver serpent and put in the Hindi at RAHU shrine

This temple is for Rahu (Thirunageshwaram) - in the Navagraha series of temples. All the Navagraha temples have Lord Shiva as the presiding deity and then there is the Navagraha Sthalam. The abhishekam is done only during Rahu Kaalam everyday.
