What a fantastic experience from start to finish! The dune buggies were in great shape, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole process was very efficient and safe.

What an amazing experience. We had so much fun riding the sand dunes. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable taking the time to explain the instructions in detail. Safety was a priority for them which gave us confidence to go for it on the dunes. Highly recommend Silver Lakes Buggy for a fantastic time!

Wonderful time, professional atmosphere and friendly staff. Give you directions, watch a very well done safety video and how to operate a orv, and off you go. The dunes are safe if you follow simple directional rules and respect. Really enjoyed ourselves a great way to see the dunes. Recommend to pack a snack and spend some time by the beautiful shore as well.

We had the best time on the dunes thanks to Terry! He took us on a tour and explained everything so we had the confidence and knowledge to have a great time. The rental process was easy and everyone we dealt with was super. Definitely recommend Silver Lake Buggy Rental!

We had so much fun on our 2 hour buggy rental. 2 adults and 2 kids all enjoyed the 4 seat Teryx. We had no previous experience but all the staff was helpful and pleasant. “Big Mark” gave us a great instructional tour on the dunes and checked in on us during the 2 hours. We felt safe and well informed. It was a great time and we highly recommend for others.

The day we had booked we woke up to pouring rain and the radar showing rain all day. SLBR staff was great and rescheduled our booking to the next day without any hassle! When we arrived all staff from registration to shuttle drivers were wonderful! Prices were reasonable. Thank you for helping us have a great first experience at the Dunes!

First time .Fun time. Worth the money for wife and I. Staff were friendly and helpful with training us on four seater "Teryx" with Jerry giving us a tour and training on the dunes before cutting us loose which was a big help/ confidence booster. The buggy was easy to drive. Next time will wear hat that will stay on better and maybe goggles to limit where sand ends up. Went early am got discount plus fewer buggies on dunes. Two hours was enough .

We had such a great time! This was our first time at the Sand Dunes. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I appreciated the instructional video, and both shuttle drivers were excellent. The "follow me tour" was very helpful and showed us around the dunes and helped build our confidence for when we were on our own. Additionally, I loved that our time didn't start until we started driving.
We started giving Christmas Experiences to our adult children, and this experience did not disappoint. I am so glad that we were able to have this opportunity.

From beginning to end, staff were very friendly and patient. Thanks Cindy, Eric, and the rest of the #SLDBR team! As first timers with a 13 yo and 8 yo we did the 2 hr trip in a Teryx. It was enough time for the kids and not enough for the parents.
The trip started with a short instructional video at the shop, bus transport to the dunes, and “follow me” driving at the dunes to see the layout of the dunes. The trip time didn’t start until the dune vehicles are driving, so make sure to plan for some additional time. Once the staff made sure we knew what to do and what to avoid, it was free-wheeling. This was a very memorable trip!

Is it possible for three small children (twin 6 year olds and an 8 year old) to ride in the back seat together?

Not sure about that - you have to wear safety belts. They had a 4 seater ATV. Not sure if they have a 5 seater. We did see some small kids out there - don't know how old they were though. Check out the Silver Lake Buggy Rental site. It might say, or try emailing them.

Yes, you are shown where you can go, and it's pretty much everywhere in the vehicle area. There is some dunes off limits to the vehicles and it is roped off for pedestrian safety. There are some traffic rules. There are 2 sections of the park that are one way only. You are required to watch 5 minute safety video, and when renting the Teryx vehicles, they provide a guided tour before you are let loose.

We might be traveling with our two dogs but would like to do a buggy rental. Is it possible to take them out with us on the buggy or is there a kennel on site we can keep them in while we are out on the buggy?
