I love lighthouses and this is one of the best! Off season, so we couldn’t go up, but beautiful and so was the surrounding beach and lakefront.

A long off the interstate drive but you go through some gorgeous orchards and trees and farmland. The lighthouse itself is very tall. Nice beach and beautiful wave sounds and wind. Worth the drive but would plan earlier in the day so not to be...More

I did not climb up to the top. We got there around 430 and the wind was blowing very hard. For it being built in 1876 it looks very good. The bricks look great. It is a drive to get out the - so be...More

If you are un the area this is a must visit and worth the price for tickets. Money spent goes to a good cause to upkeep this historical lighthouse.

Nothing special, but a charming little lighthouse, off the beaten track in the center of Lake Michigan's Gold Coast. Sugary fine, white, powdery beaches and dunes here are a delight to explore.
