Awesome view from the tower! You can see the Mackinaw bridge from there. Walking the trail to the lake is also a must. This is a working lighthouse.

Really enjoyed touring this lighthouse, there were some nice antiques. In the entrance area there is a gift shop and a small area with snacks. Warm friendly people to greet you

Docents were informative and friendly. We got to hear the fog horn sounded and the docent explained when and how often it would be used. We then climbed to the top of the tower to get an idea of what was involved in making sure...More

The McGulpin Point Lighthouse is a must-see. From the outside, the lighthouse doesn’t look like much but on the inside it’s filled to the brim with history. They have each room setup with antiques from the time period the lighthouse was being used. They even...More

This is a nice stop to make and doesn't take a lot of time. If you are interested in lighthouses, you want to visit. It also has information on the various shipwrecks in the great lakes history.

There's a tiny hole at the top of the lighthouse that allows you to go outside on the deck surrounding the light. The views are breathtaking! It's very hard to get outside the door, though. I had to crawl on my hands and knees. The...More

The lighthouse is filled with all the furnishings of the original period. It's filled with history! On the second floor is a looped 15 minute video detailing all the Great Lakes shipwrecks dating back to the 1800's. It's a chilling and somber video that leaves...More

I visited before museum was open for the day but was able to walk the trail and read all of the informational markers. This was both an educational and beautiful stop. So peaceful and a fantastic view of the bridge. Highly recommend stopping here

Lots of historic info and a chance to go inside. The lighthouse and the grounds are beautifully maintained. A trail takes you to the lakeside

Beautiful small area - but crowded on a rainy Thursday afternoon in September. Didn’t walk around the grounds because it was so wet. Collected another stamp for my Lighthouse Passport book.
