This was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Mackinac! It's a great place to take it easy for a while - you've been walking or biking all over the place - sit and relax and take in the sights. But don't touch...More

There were so many butterflies of all shapes sizes and colors flying around everywhere. The butterfly house was somewhat smaller than expected but nonetheless provided a more intimate experience. The kids had an awesome time seeing all of the butterflies and hoping that one would...More

Such a pleasant respite from racing to see all the island sights! Soothing music plays as the butterflies flutter around you and often land on you. So many different types of butterflies to see and it's educational, too. Spent quite a while here just chillaxing...More

Make sure you pick up the flyer to get a dollar off. When you enter get a wrist band which will let you revisit the exhibits during your stay on the island. Talk to the staff, they know a lot! During my two visits different...More

The house consists of information about butterflies, the greenhouse space to interact passively, other small creatures, & a store. It is nice since you can leave and return repeatedly through out the day if desired with a bracelet. Such a variety of colorful butterflies is...More

I'm torn about this place. It was wonderful to see all of the butterflies, flying around the enclosure. But, then I realized that they import the little guys from Costa Rica and Malaysia. They hatch, they fly around, and then they die. Kind of sad!...More
