The best state park in Michigan. It has Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake along with campgrounds and many hiking trails and bike paths to numerous to mention. If you have not been here you need to come and experience pure joy!

Nice public city beach. I wish we were there when the lighthouse gift shop was open. Lake Michigan is beautiful!

Overall a nice park but very crowded. Our stay at the walk-in campsite made the trip worth it, otherwise camping at Beechwood or the other developed sites you will feel like you are at a mall. Upon arriving your license plate and ID are recorded,...More

This is the best beach and Park I’ve been to in Michigan’s lower peninsula. There are miles of free park and walk beach with dunes, camping and the nicest clear water you’ve ever seen. The lighthouse is quite a long walk (3.6 miles round trip)...More
