Wonderful to see these old Carnegie libraries! Brings back so many wonderful memories for those of us who grew up visiting Carnegie libraries in our respective home towns.

A small cultural museum, tracing the history and culture of Houghton over the last 70 years through photos, narratives, a few exhibits and posters. Wonderful old building repurposed.

There is not much at this museum as of May 2016. Took approx 10 minutes to look at everything. It is worth the trip just to see the building.

The Carnagie offers local tours, natural history lectures, events for children and live music. It provides a lot to the local community for such a small museum.
