My grandchildren live in the Chicago area, where there are several children's museums. When they visit me here in Grand Rapids, the first thing they want to do is go to The Children's Museum. It is imaginative, entertaining, and educational.

Great place to take the little ones and let them loose for a couple hours. Very safe but gets crowded quickly. Not so much a museum for learning but rather playing. Everything is hands on. Very cool bubble exhibit and bee exhibit.

Visited with our 10-yr. old grandson and he was totally disappointed. It’s definitely geared toward much younger children. If you’re worried about germs, avoid this place.

Every time I come here my kids have a lot of fun, so they must be doing something right. First off, this museum is geared towards ages 3-8. Older kids may not find a lot to do here or may be bored. After you come...More
