We stopped by here on a cold Sunday morning, and I was surprised to find other tourists there taking photos, too. There's barbed wired around the place, but tidy little topiaries inside. The whole building is a study in contrasts - beautiful architecture crumbling to...More

What a beauty this building must have been in its glory days .... Now boarded and fenced up, left to decay. Worth a quick visit to take in it's amazing architecture. Hopefully this building can be saved and restored to its original grandeur, would love...More

We drove by there yesterday. It is surrounded by a barbed wire fence, so I guess the urban explorers are all but locked out. The Moroun family has done a fabulous job replacing windows, and getting electricity hooked up (the building is actually illuminated at...More

It is a shame they have not redone this. It could be the next Grand Central restoration. The city is coming back but this place is still vacant. To me the city will be totally back when this place is restored.

This once grand building is symbolic of the entire city. ...once great, but hobbled by years of neglect. However, while the city continues the slow road to recovery, Michigan Central sits vacant and hollow. ...a shell of it's former self. Hopefully, someday soon it will...More

Detroit has finally gotten it's act together with a new mayor and a supportive business community who knew that Detroit was full of treasures and by exploiting the riverfront, classic architecture and young blood, the city can be great again. The Michigan Central Station is...More

Yes it's closed up, but if you don't let that stop you, It is amazing. People have been going through for years. The main concourse is where they filmed Transformers. The roof is the Best Part!

I'm glad that some of the asbestos have FINALLY been removed from this building (but) You'd never know that, because the perimeter is surrounded by a metal fence (that hasn't been stolen yet) This monument to everything that is wrong with Detroit, has a reputation...More

Viewed this property years ago when it was just a wasted shell. I was surprised that it is being renovated. It has windows installed and some landscaping work has been done.
