Beautiful ole

Beautiful, very old Catholic Church in the middle of Greektown. Stained glass, statuary, pews, everything you hope to see in an old Catholic Church. Definitely work stopping here.

The church is also know as the Church of the Grottos as they have three in the rear of the church. There is much history to the church and adjoining building. The church has a pamphlet explaining some of the history and architectural details of the building.

I try to visit a catholic church in every city we visit - The stained glass, architecture, and artwork are breathtaking. This church is no exception and is in a convenient location to the Greektown neighborhood - take a few minutes to stop in and wonder at the old world charm and find a bit of peace in your travel.

Amazing architecture and statues in this old church. Don't miss the beautiful grottos in the rear of the church. Felt very welcome.

Not sure where Clifford C. went, but you would be hard pressed to find churches this beautiful in Europe. Parish is active and vibrant and welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Well worth a visit for prayer, meditation, Mass or just to soak in the architecture and beauty

Very convenient to the Greektown casino. The acoustics could be better. The architecture is appealing.

The first we went to see it, it was after 4pm, on weekday and close. So we went back next day. The church is in Greek town but it is a catholic church and walking distance from casino, restaurants and parking is $5. Mass on weekday is at 12:15pm and it is opened 11am to 2pm on weekdays. Week ends... More

On our last visit to Detroit, we were lucky to have the time to visit Greektown and stopped in at St. Mary's Church. This church is absolutely beautiful. From the stained glass to the statues and the architecture. You will be glad you stopped in. Make sure you leave a donation for the church.
