Walked a lot and used the People Mover. Felt very safe. The city has a way to go before it is "back" but was still a nice weekend to catch the Wings.

Downtown Detroit, is really experiencing a revival. All the beautiful old buildings that were once abandoned have been renovated or are being renovated. The city has taken steps to ensure that it is what they call "activated". In addition to walking to view the beautiful architecture that now houses well-known companies and several hipster-type places. There are several small plazas... More

The nicest city I've ever seen! High colorful building especially at night. It's really a good place to visit.

I had a great time strolling around downtown Detroit, snapping photos on a blustery March morning. The city surprised me; there are more huge buildings than I was expecting, and like many midwestern cities the buildings are spread out around wide streets in a nicely planned layout. I saw several city employees keeping the streets clean, and a few security... More

The city has gone through a transformation, recently. Crime has all but disappeared from downtown, as well as the transient, homeless population. While many buildings have been torn down, countless others who have retained the city's classical architecture remain. Detroit is a 'must-see'!

We were visiting Leamington Ontario Canada and decided to drive to Detroit. City is much better than we expected. For those who like art they can visit the Detroit Institute of Art and spend quality time looking at the fascinating collection they have. Later a stroll to the beach front will take all the pressure of travelling away. Parking is... More

Must have a hotdog at Coney Lafayette. We were careful around our hotel. There was good police presence. We were told as long as you are careful and not drunk out late you would be fine. My daughter, 20, at the time, commented she felt safer than in New York.

I live in the metro Detroit area and when colleagues fly here to visit clients, I try to take them around Detroit, especially downtown. The city has done a lot to rejuvenate the city and it shows. Clean new streets, improved retail (Nike, UA, Warby Parker, Drought Juice, etc.). The stadiums are new and nice too for sporting events and... More
