4 of us went last weekend to see David Sedaris and it was just beautiful. There is so much beauty to take in that words really do not come close.

I think the title of this review pretty much sums up my estimation of the the Detroit Opera House. It is a lovely historic building, but the seating is in desperate need of an upgrade - uncomfortable and not in the best repair. The staff...More

This place is super old so it's very beautiful, but I wish they would expand the lobby area. It's painful to walk through and takes FOREVER since it's so small. You have to be aggressive and squeeze through a sea of people if you want...More

Great house, offers up everything from operas, ballet, Broadway to school graduations. About 2700 seats, almost all are good.

I've been here a few times. Concerts and plays. It is beautiful, the sound is great. I wish they would book more rock concerts here, i would go all the time.

I have been to many performances here and they have all been wonderful! Ushers are kind, professional, and gracious. Operas, Broadway musicals, and dance events are breathtaking with the lighting and orchestra. Arrive early for downtown Detroit parking.

How old are the children and his tall? Usually the view from the higher levels are good but it will depend on the ages and height of your children if they will be able to see over the rails or not.
