In just one hour we learned quite a bit about the 1920s architecture and history of Detroit. We spent time inside and outside of the Guardian building and also learned about a few buildings nearby. The Guardian is well preserved (thank you Wayne County), the...More

My words fail me to describe this gorgeous building! How lucky the Wayne County staffers are to work here. The colors, the tiles, the floor, the marble, the windows. Truly a glorious cathedral for the financial sector. Buildings like this will never be built again....More

The most beautiful building in Detroit. On our must see list for visitors. A challenge to park nearby because many do the same. Mosaics are unparalleled--like a cathedral.

This building is spectacular. One could have envisioned it as a church with its' artwork. The exterior is a magnet for the eyes and the interior is even more spell-bounding. Sit in the great hall for coffee and be astounded by the acoustics.
