Must go to when in Copper Harbor. Just a bit out of town on Brockway Mountain Drive, at a spectacular viewing point with a deck. You get a great view of town, and Lake Superior. It was too cloudy to potentially see Isle Royale.

We had no idea where this road went when we turned on it. A short distance up there was an overlook. What a view! Lake Superior, Copper Harbor, Lake Fanny Hooe. Breathtaking! Traveling a little further, there were more pull-offs with views of the forests...More

We had seen photos and done our research for the drive to the top of Brockway Mountain but were still shocked by the scenery we encountered. We were talking with seasoned travelers who had been to Alaska last year and they said the views were...More

Fantastic drive. About 8 miles of scenic mountain roads. Various lookouts and small parking areas allow you to stop and admire the views. If you are in the area don't miss this!

I’m pretty sure the fall colors are done up there. I love 6 hours south and we are at peek right now. I’m sure some trees will still be pretty though! Enjoy your trip! Lake Superior has never disappointed me, no matter where... More

We were up there in mid August. I live about 4 hours south, and I can tell you we are already raking leaves here. I would think by mid October the leaves up there will be long gone. Not to mention the cold air will surely... More

No it is not the same trail system. I just did a search online and Brockway Mountain Drive goes off of Hwy 26 and heads inland. Where Hwy 26 goes along the lake shore.
