A nice walk along the causeway and you can have good views of shore birds (depending on the time of year and height of the water). I have always seen a wood duck every time I have been.

This refuges has a variety of trails that follow portions of the Sudbury River/Pantry Brook. There is a kayak and canoe landing for those who are already on the river (there is no put-in here). Lots of birds and butterflies. Some trails can be muddy.

We have been coming to this refuge for quite a few years. The staff is available to answer any questions. There is enough parking for large groups. The trails are nicely kept. What a great nature walk with gorgeous scenery.

The refuge is specially attractive by its headquarters alongside the Sudbury River. Well maintained trails lead to hillside views and interesting notes on the site's history. There is a small exhibit in the main building.

We found this place while looking for wheelchair accessible trails in the Concord area. The Dike trail (1.5 miles?) is wheelchair accessible - flat, wide, and well packed. We took a section of the Edge Trail at one point, and that was not wheelchair accessible...More
