The only thing true is there is a village called Bankapura near Haveri in Karnataka. There is no signage on the NH 4 as to where to turn off for this place.We had to use the maps and our logic to find the turn off...More

This sanctuary is open to public and no entry fees etc. There is hardly any peacock to be seen. I was told by another forest officer in Ranebennur that most of the flock in Bankapura flew away because of too much of human interaction inside...More
