If you can get a ticket, this is an experience you will want to have. The church is beautiful and the acoustics are great. It's a lovely way to spend an evening.

Note not open prior to Memorial Day weekend. We still enjoyed walking around and taking pictures. There is a historic home & gardens next door.

The Old Whaling Church is certainly beautiful on the outside but it is extraordinary on the inside. Simple, clean architectural lines, interesting tromp l’oeil painting. Serene and tranquil. If you can get tickets to a musical event, bu all means do. A summer evening with...More

The Old Whaling Church is an imposing figure on the small town street but unless there is something going on and you have a ticket there is no need to poke around this place. Take a picture of the front and move on, trust me.

This church has been wonderfully preserved and is easily accessible from the street. Brings you back to days gone by. A must stop.

Beautifully restored, it takes your breath away. From walking up the steps through its columned facade to the sanctuary inside, you feel as though you've been transported back in time to a period long lost but thankfully not forgotten.

We were in the church area as a wedding was ending. The wedding party was headed to the Dr. Daniel Fisher House for the wedding reception. Thus we asked and were permitted to enter and look at the inside of the Old Whaling Church. The...More
