My ancestry research led me to this beautifully maintained cemetery. It meant so much to me to visit my underground Doane relatives. I got some great photos of the stones that are still legible. We were the only visitors there at that time so we...More

Highly atmospheric, and some of the oldest gravestones on the Cape, dating to the early 18th century. Some very beautifully carved and incredibly well preserved. Well worth a visit.

Depending on which direction you are traveling, this may be a difficult turn off of Route #6. Just off the road there is limited parking, but the small cemetery is rich with Mayflower history and provides easy access to some first hand research.

I love taking my dog here to walk. It is a relaxing little graveyard and there are information packets at the entrance with very interesting information. There are cool headstones here.

It was humbling to walk through this cemetery where the earliest settlers on the Cape are buried--including 3 who came on the Mayflower. And it probably goes unnoticed for most traveling Rt. 6.

Step back in time with this burying ground. 3 graves are for people who came aboard the Mayflower. Self-guided but documentation is available.
