We visited 27th- 28th sept when parking was free and no shuttle.
It was chilled, quiet, unspoilt and clean.
Even at High tide there is sand . Seals promenade near the shore. Toilets are available but we didn’t use them

Its dirty and can't swim on water. Places are run by hippies. They do not compete with big gun stores or restaurants. They over charge for everything with an attitude, as if they are doing you a favor. Dinner in one place for 100+, served on paper plates through a window, and not even a thanks. Trash everywhere and no prime service of any kind. A view of the America would look like if we let Woke people run things. Never going back again.

Beautiful waves. Lots of rocks. Many seals. Still worth it. Just watch out for the completely obnoxious old tram drivers that will do their best to swing their junk around and yell about parking lot signs. They’re a bit much. To say the least.

We had a great day at the beach. We parked and took the tram to the beach. A day pass was $25 per carload and that amount also covered the tram ride. There was a washroom and change room near the beach. We didn’t notice any snacks for sale so luckily we brought our own food. There was no shade at the beach and we didn’t notice any picnic tables. There were lifeguards that watched a large section of the beach. By early afternoon the beach was quite busy and we didn’t stay until the final tram, which was at 5:00 pm.

I look forward to going to Coast Guard Beach each summer! The beach is beautiful, the waves mesmerizing and plenty of space for everyone. There is parking off site and trams run on a regular basis. Also, there are restroom facilities as well. I will return next summer!

This is a lovely beach. Clean water and sand, serene and relaxing, sound of surf. Nice family beach on all counts.

Calm, quiet and relaxing. This beach is clean, has good sand to walk on and is good to spend several hours. You would generally expect to spot a few seals close to the shore. We went early in June before the summer crowds had picked up and were rewarded with thin crowds and more space to ourselves. You will need to pay for parking during season starting mid-June.

We stopped here to enjoy a beach day but between the handicap spots being far from the beach itself, the fog that day and shark warnings we didn't go in the water. It was a long walk to the waters edge and a lot of sand to climb through to get to the shore. We noticed a ton of seals in the water which was was cute. I looked for seashells since it seemed sketchy to go in. Even with the best of weather, it would have not been the best beach, i wish we dropped off some of our group at the path down to the water before parking.

My husband and I visited here as part of a longer trip. Neither of us had been here before and we really enjoyed it even though it was just a day trip we really enjoyed seeing the seals that are swimming around. It was abnormally cool that day so there were only 2 people in the water, both were surfers trying to catch waves. We were surprised to see all the shark signs! Apparently they are around looking for the seals! So I wouldn’t want to swim anyway! There are few parking spaces, so you have to pay to park down the street and take a tram! Very cool !

This beach was great. There was some very beautiful ocean rocks towards the middle of the beach, and the cliff overlooking the beach was beautiful. The waves were nice and during the summer the beach is accessible by a tram ride.
