You can look at the monument, but the stairs to climb it and enjoy the view are not open yet. I went on two consecutive Sundays when the website said it was open but it was not. Locals told me it’s likely because of the staffing shortages.
However, there is a little known cemetery nearby in Duxbury on Chestnut Street called the Myles Standish Burial Ground. It is the oldest maintained cemetery in the US. Always open, park on the side street. Worth a visit.

This monument is very impressive, to get to the top one has to climb a spiral staircase. When we visited the National Park warden in attendance was an excellent source of information about the history of the area.

The climb to the top is worth it. Beautiful 360 degree view. It is an easy climb. However, there really isn't room to pass someone so be aware of that.

Bathrooms are portable so that could be an issue for some.

Check the website for hours. The monument is not open every day.

Catch it on a weekend when it is open. Views are pretty spectacular. Can see the Cape and North to Scituate. Nice place to picnic when the weather is good. Road to the top is a good place to practice hill climbing on bike or foot.

Only open at weekends, but you can sneak pass the gate and walk up. Nice peaceful spot with views and beautiful forest

There is some cleanup going on from all the wind damage this winter but it is accessible and a nice place to come and hang out for a bit. Maybe have a picnic.

The park area is available to drive or walk up to any time but the monument is only open on the weekends between Memorial and Labor day.

Definitely worth the climb. It is dizzying as the stairs are a tight spiral but there are a couple small landings to rest or let others pass. Love the views of the coast. On clear days Boston and P-town can be seen.

A great spot in Duxbury for a quick day hike and picnic. Views from the top of the monument are spectacular, although it is hit or miss whether or not there is anyone there to open it to the public. Even if you are unable to access the top of the monument it is worth hiking up from the closed gate at the bottom of the park.
