A must if visiting this area....! The scenery is great with the quiet sailing; but the captains talk of the history of shipjacks is the main draw.

The skipjack was historical. It looked like a working boat with bits of peeling paint and rust. We took the 4:30 cruise and were treated to a beautiful sunset. I was surprised that the Capt spoke the entire 2 hours. He is quite talkative. Capt...More

This was a highlight of our recent visit to St. Michaels MD. We boarded the H. M. Krentz, a working skipjack since 1955, for the 4:30 pm cruise, returning to shore 2 hours later as the sun was setting. Captain Ed is so knowledgeable about...More

Very informative, Weather was perfect and sunny and at one point we were able to use the jib in addition to the mainsail.

Educationally fun and relaxing. Nothing like the sound of the wind in the sail as you cut through the waters of the Chesapeake. Capt Ed was a great host and guide.

Cap't Ed was so much fun and knowledgeable. We learned a ton. The sailing was pleasant though we just sorta went back and forth out a bit from the dock (would have been cooler to see some more of the water). The boat is authentic,...More

Gorgeous weather, scenery and sunset on a hot summer day. Add superb conversation with Captain Ed on everything related to oystering in on the Chesapeake Bay and you’ve got yourself a memorable occasion. Definitely treat yourself to a skipjack sail!

Dress is casual boat wear. In August we wore shorts and tee shirts. Good non- skid shoes are essential.
