Today was a perfect day for the sunflower blooms.........awesome! Check the website for best viewing days. Traffic was not a problem late afternoon. Also, check the map where the fields are located......they can not be seen from the main road (River Rd). Highly Recommend!

First, if you want to see brillient orange sunflowers, make sure you get there between mid-June and mid-July yearly. Otherwise, the McKee-Beshers is one of the Maryland Wildlife Management Area and a public hunting grounds. McKee-Beshers in Montgomery County, Maryland just a few miles north...More

the best thing about McKee bechers is the little area you can park at and walk out in the summer/fall and see the millions of sunflowers. Nothing compares!

I went to see the sunflowers and was overrun by crowds. The traffic was abysmal, and I had to be VERY patient getting in and out. The sunflowers were almost gone, but they were still spectacular. Too bad the visitors trampled and (literally) CUT them...More
