We were on vacation with our four kids, ages 6,8,10, and 12. The kids were really looking forward to climbing ladders on a hike. The Beech Cliff loop only took us 30 minutes from the parking lot, but the kids were disappointed that we didn't...More

Beech Cliff Loop is one of our favorite places to see Echo Lake from above. It is hard to find parking, but if you can find it, you should definitely try this out! It's a quick loop, so you can easily do this and also...More

You can drive most of the way from Somesville up toward Beech Cliff. The short hike is moderate, and all is worthwhile when you reach the summit - and see the Island.

Fun hike with 4 ladders to climb before reaching the summit. It’s a short 1.8 mile hike but it is steep with a small section of rocks to climb over just before the overlook area.

This hike is relatively short to the top — less than a mile. It climbs steeply from the Echo Lake parking area up to the Cliffs. There are 3-4 ladders on the trail too. Great rewards at the top with spectacular views of Echo Lake...More

We accidentally went on this trail (Beech Cliff Trail) from the parking lot of Echo Lake Beach Road and kept going up until we needed to climb ladders after ladders all the way to the top of the cliff. It was fun, and actually not...More
