Overview
More
This is a demonstration of lobster fishing and information about lobster biology, Maine lobster fisheries, commercial aspects of the fishery and last but not least, some local history. Fun for the whole family. The Rugosa is a real wooden lobster boat out on the Gulf of Maine and in terms of information shared by the tour guide, it is pretty comprehensive material for children under 4 years of age. Very young children can be a distraction to the rest of the guests aboard the boat, enjoying the presentation.

We had a great time and learned a lot about lobsters and the industry. It's as hands on as you want (holding, banding the lobsters) and our Captain and his assistant were really nice, funny, and did a super job with the tour and talk!

It would depend on the weather I guess. The boat is wide and flat but does rock a bit. The captain had motion sickness pressure point wristbands available for those who wanted them.

No. We do not have a commercial license and cannot sell lobsters. We are an educational boat only and all lobsters are returned to the water at end of trip.
