This wide beach is on the quiet side Kennebunkport. Few people were there in October. It's probably more crowded during the season, but I'd go any time of the year for the tranquility.

Goose Rocks Beach was an unexpected stop when we were traveling the coast in Maine. The beach is very scenic and tranquil. Our travels were in October which is off season. There was an abundance of parking on the street. We noticed the sign stating...More

Particularly if Kennebunkport is busy and ocean avenue is chock-a-block with cars, Goose Rocks makes for a great escape and a lovely walk along a classic New England beach. Recommended.

It smells awful- gagging- truly unbearable. Walked to a further stretch of the beach where there was not any seaweed or kelp and it was great. We love this beach, not sure what is going on with the seaweed smell. Great time of year to...More

Turbulent water with surfers out in the aftermath of Hurricane Hermine. A wonderful expansive beach protected from the ocean. Great for walking, wading, swimming in calmer times. Lovely setting as well.

The beaches in Maine are beautiful. We love to drive the coast of Maine and see the different beaches. Some are all rocks. Some are sandy and rocks. The ocean is always beautiful.

Such a clean, beautiful, beach! The kids ran up and down the beach collecting shells. The water was....cold...but typical northeast water. The sand is so clean compared to our Boston beaches. Take the time and go for a couple hours.

We rented a families cottage along the beach and woke up to the ocean waves crashing. The beach along the Atlantic was clean and relaxing. The town was very clean and people were friendly. Great food and little shops. Loved it. I've made some wonderful...More

Goose Rocks beach is a beautiful bluff-filled, white sand, pristine beach that is gorgeous and, even in the midst of summer, cool and refreshing. Crested against a picturesque landscape dotted by mansions, cottages, hammocks, and Adirondack chairs, Goose Rocks is just a few miles away...More

I am not a big ocean person. However this beach is my all time favorite. The tide travels a great distance and leaves lots of packed sand for activities. There is an island you can explore at low tide. The parking is limited so plan...More

We were there off season so it was fine while we were there….but I think we read on a Maine travel website that dogs are allowed before 8:00am and after 6:00pm during beach going season. It's a lovely beach! Have fun!
