After visiting Camden several times we finally went into the library which is stunning. Much of it is underground! And the main reading room on the top floor is light and airy with plenty of comfortable chairs for reading or the light nap. This is...More

This library is a community gem from its scenic location overlooking the harbor, the amphitheater used frequently for weddings, to the beautiful interior, including the collection of books and impressive children's section, and the delightful booklover's bench. Great old library building complete with high ceilings and creaky wooden floors. Lots of books to smell and peruse. I got stuck in the biographies in the front room and couldn't get out!

Clean, lovely, quiet library. Sit and rest among quiet surroundings with current newspapers, magazines, books, historical attifacts. Plan your day in lovely Camden Maine.

We were a little "touristed out" and the library is the perfect respite. We browsed their stacks, used their facilities, and sat on the outdoor benches to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. I think the library was one of the highlights of Camden.
