Instructors are friendly interesting and with no upper limit on what they can teach. I’m a beginner but the advanced students were just as interested and busily engaged on related things. The other students are doing something they like and everybody has a good time...More

I have been to the school for classes on three different occasions and all have been wonderful experiences with first class instructors. Do stay in the dorms, take your meals there and have one of the most enjoyable learning vacations of your life. I'm looking...More

A lovely wooden boat school where you learn to build your own boat or kayak, in beautiful grounds. Well worth a visit even to just look around, everyone is most helpful and accommodating.

I wasn't sure at first. At the end of a very long day sailing (38 nM) that started in fog and continued even as we pulled up to a mooring at the school, we discovered something truly unexpected and special. Walk onto the dock and...More

We stopped in while on a Windjammer tour of Maine. Really enjoyed walking about the school grounds looking at the many wooden boats on display, being built or being repaired. Watching the students working in the workshops was fascinating as was the craftsmanship of their...More

The week we were there included a week-long course on painting and varnishing. Looks like it was popular; I tried to sign up for it a month earlier and it was completely booked.
