This is a beautiful trail that is meticulously maintained. For walking or running....excellent! The cool breezes off the river are amazing....beautiful sites and a fun railroad station on one end. Well worth the time and exercise!

One day we started our walk on the boardwalk, crossed the Passy pedestrian bridge over and back and entered the trail @ the south end. Another day we entered the trail @ the north end, each time walking the length and back. We have used...More

Wow...what a nice couple of miles on the East side of the Passagassawakeag River. Abundant wildlife great river views, and well maintained trail. The extension from the foot bridge North is only a couple of years old and is rapidly becoming a favorite.

Great trail, which follows the contour of the river. And the small trestle bridge was a nice surprise. It's a big plus for Belfast and we look forward to hitting it again on our next trip. Flat and comfortable...

We walked the trail in early September. Just a beautiful walk along the river. The trail is very wide with virtually no hills. It is a very easy walk. If you start from the boathouse and go to the end , it's about 2.2 miles...More

There is a bike rental shop in Belfast on High St. across from the theater....just a few minutes ride to the trail head.
