Great place to spend the afternoon
Nov 2020 • Family
Very beautiful setting with a walking trail. Lots to look at, my 3 year old very much enjoyed it. Lots of parking. Will definitely be back when the weather is nice enough for a swim.

Lake within the City
May 2019 • Solo
I live about 5 km from this beach on Whitson Lake and like to ride my bike there and back. There is a public beach with change rooms, picnic area, benches overlooking the lake, dog beach and a boat launch just around the corner. It has a nice view over the lake and is a nice place to go for a dip in the warm weather that is close to home. It also has 2 parking lots.

Sightseeing
Jun 2018 • Couples
Lovely day to get fresh air, enjoy the view of the lake, and dip in the water. Benches were everywhere to sit while enjoying coffee. During the time there were lots of caterpillars that will turn into moths later, but didn't bother me. It was a great place to go back to.

Great place to sit
Sep 2018 • Couples
This is a nice place to bring a picnic or coffee and sit and look out to the water. Nice little beach there. Gets busy in the summer time. If you're not in to going in the water , just walking around and looking at all the beautiful craves is enjoyable . Each bench has some kind of carving on it from eagles to bears etc. Every where you look there is some kind of art work to look at even in the trees.

Park & lake is picturesque. Weather was good for that day of visit. Birds made soothing sounds while water was breath taking. Great place for picnic & relaxation.

Day at the beach
Aug 2017 • Family
Two beaches at this park. One is monitored with a life guard during the summer and the other people take their dogs on hot days.

Dozens of animals and carvings for you to 😊 The lake is fairly shallow and warms up by mid to late June.

Lovely view and good beach
Aug 2016 • Family
I went there to do some photography and wasn't disappointed at all. All round good possibilities for shots. I didn't swim but the beach looks good and, of course, the water's nice and clean.

Great first visit for the fall fair
Sep 2016 • Family
I attended the Anderson fall fair, it was my first visit to this location. I had a great time, there was a car show, vendors, kids games, animals etc. I will have to go back and take more time to visit the museum.

Great place to swim
Jul 2016 • Family
We come here on hot days to cool off. Lifeguards are onsite during summer break. Limited parking but there is a boat launch for people who'd like to go fishing.
