Your visit is about 20-30 minute and you will see 3-4 of these cute little mammals tucked up in the trees. Pretty cool. A guide will lead you through the preserve, you can’t just wander on your own. Nice informative visitor center - this was my favorite stop on our Bohol tour.

This is the only place to see the Tarsier in nature.
It is in the jungle and you can see them very good.
But you don’t have time. The staff is pushing the tourists through the “garden”. They expect huge amount of tourists and from East Asia not allow to stay longer and watching the Tarsier

We stopped by here while staying at a resort on the island.
We spent maybe an hour there and took a few photos (no flash)
The Tarsiers are funny little things and I would be surprised if they could survive nowadays without protection.
Worth a visit.
I imagine that kids would love them.

We loved going there, it does not feel like a zoo at all, or that animals are suffering. Very airy. The price for entrance is low. We saw around 7 of Tarsiers! All of them were sleeping though (except for one), as they are active during night time!

I was expecting to find Tarsiers in the wild but on arrival I was surprised by how small the compound was and also how small they were and I’m guessing we wouldn’t have found any if they weren’t pointed out to us. Only 15 living there at present. The gift shop was underwhelming because it was absolutely packed with weird souvenirs and I felt it was bordering on being corny. Only spent 30-45 minutes here from the time we pulled up until we left. Make sure this is a stop along the way yo another attraction as it’s a bit of a drive up there

Beautiful little animals. All tourists said to us really enjoyed the viewing. They could improve sales or tourists items to include maybe coffee cups, t-shirts etc as items for sale are poor standard. The money made could be used for improving their protection

Went to see the little fellows and they are tiny. One of the smallest known mammals in the world. I believe they're nocturnal (sleep during the day) so you must stay silent while you visit them. Shouty or loud people need not attend.

I love the fact the the tarziers are treated with respect here. The are free to roam and live naturally while being studied. We were taken by a guide, who showed us exactly where to go to see them. We met with the founder, Carlito Pizarras, who happily let us know they were successful in breading at least 5 at that time. They were being monitored by their group, but kept from visitors. Take the time to visit.

What is the best time of day to visit (during opening hours) to see the tarsiers?
Written November 9, 2017
I got there fairly late in the afternoon. several were awake. but it was an overcast day and the light was low. That may have had an effect.

How far is this from Alona beach?

Hello, was about an hour and half to Carmen - Chocolate Hills, so I will say one hour ride to Tarsier Conservation. We rented a little van for 4 of us and went to see both places in one day. I can ask my friend for price, but i'm sure it wasn't a lot.

Bohol Island can be circumnavigated in a day by car or van. If you really want to go to the Tarsier Sanctuary, you can do so at anytime wherever you are staying on the island.

How do we get there? we are a party of ten, so can we rent a van? is it friendly for one who needs a wheelchair?
Written December 1, 2016
Very friendly, and easy to hire a van. Wheelchair access to get up and close with the tarsiers isn't really an option though as you have to go through some bush tracks.
There are also lots of day tours you can take that include this stop if you want to see more of Bohol such as Chocolate Hills, etc. I used a company called Bohol Life, where we just paid for can hire and a driver for the day, but they can include a full tour guide if you want one.
