What was supposed to be just an outing for the kids (9 and 3) turned into a great afternoon. The Zoo was so much better than our last trip last summer. Freshened Flower beds greeted us. The entrance was welcoming. All of the cages/enclosures has...More

Mother nature is beautiful.... regardless of what is going on... let kids be kids and enjoy the beautiful nature walks and the many caged animals in the world.. ZEBRAS are the best

Recently visited the BR zoo for Boo at the Zoo. A great event for the entire family. The kids dress up in their Halloween costume. There are plenty of activities for the entire family.

This small zoo is excellent. The day that we went it was fairly empty of people but plenty of animals to see. The price is very reasonable also. The $2 train ride did not have much to see.

After hearing about how good this zoo use to be and how downhill it's gone, my expectations were low. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Although it's looking worn, it has what most zoos would be envious of and that is shade. It has even better...More

Love the zoo, but hate the drive to get to it. It's on the far side of Baton Rouge. Nice selection of animals, clean habitats. Wonderful outing for a day.

Middle of the pack when it comes to Zoo's. Kids will always have a good time but NOLA's Zoo is 100 times better. I hope they move it closer to the other side of town. Sad to hear about animals dying there.
