About
Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company opened in Louisville, Kentucky in 2015, but the distillery's roots extend back to 1889, when their ancestor, Henry Kraver, began distilling bourbon. Corky and Carson Taylor, fourth and fifth generation descendants of Kraver, are the historic-turned-urban Bourbon makers dedicated to providing a distinctively-authentic bourbon experience with distillery tours and tastings. Visit to experience, first-hand, the Peerless Caliber that sets Peerless spirits apart.

If you are planning one tour this should be it

This was an awesome tour. It started with us walking into their beautiful entrance and gift shop and got greeted by their welcome cat. We loved the history of the distillery and the tour in general and of course the tasting at the end.

Don't miss this distillery- Tour and Tasting
Jun 2021 • Couples
Most say that when you do 1 distillery tour you have seen them all- but atleast for Peerless and many other historical distilleries in the area, this is a tour not to miss! So much history around this family owned distillery that started in the late 1800s and the family wanting to bring back the Peerless name after 100 years after the distillery closed. The owner made a few appearances during our tour and tasting to tell us different stories about his family or his own life. We decided he is the most interesting man in the world :)

The Bourbon was even better than the tour! The flavors in all of their Bourbon's were outstanding and complex! Our favorites were the Short Stack and the mixed Berry Whipped Cream (for real- you can taste the cream!) No added flavors- just high quality distillate and charred barrels!

Really interesting and an actual production facility
Jun 2021 • Couples
This was one of my favorite tours and tastings. They are a small producer but this is their actual production facility. For $20 you get to tour the facility, get 4 or 5 unique tastings, and keep your tasting glasses. Because they make small batches your tasting experience will be different anytime you come back. If you are doing the tastings in downtown Louisville be sure to include this one.

Fantastic Bourbon
Jun 2021 • Couples
Very good tour and tasting at Peerless. The distillery had existed in the past and has since been resurrected by the family of the original owner. Their story was significant in the annals of bourbon history. The owner Corky Taylor stopped by our tour twice -once to add to the explanation of the history and again during the tasting. Corky even signed our purchased bottle of the excellent single barrel bourbon.

Tour and Tasting
Jun 2021
This is a great place to stop in Louisville (and/or as part of the bourbon trail). There is a TON of interesting history. This is Peerless' real production facility where they are making their own product and not just an urban experience. They have really put thought into the visitor experience; I highly recommend a tour. Beyond that, the hospitality is top notch. I have now been there several times and been lucky enough to tour with John W a couple of times I've been. He's especially awesome! He has an obvious passion for the brand and the product. He further enhances the experience with his incredible depth of knowledge and willingness to share.

Speaking of the product, their whiskey is also fantastic. As I have been able to come back and try over time it has been wonderful to see the growth in their product. This latest time I was there I was able to try a 6 year bourbon and it was terrific. Their rye has been great for awhile and has such wonderful variation in the single barrels providing really unique experiences! I cannot wait to see how this brand continues to grow.

Great tour and tasting
May 2021
We signed up for the tour and tasting. 60 min. I think it was $20 per person. The tour was pretty nice. Got to see alot. The tasting ran long, which is fine, and we tasted 5 different Bourbon and Ryes.

A definite must see
May 2021
For my first time in Louisville, Peerless helped to make it an amazing experience I can't wait to repeat. They were the third tour we did that day, and the ony one that allowed us to see the distilling process and where the action happens. They were very pandemic safe with spacing and limited numbers on the tour. We learned a lot and got to taste 5 (one was a surprise bonus) tastings, and visit there cool shop. The tour guide had only been there 4 months but was so knowledgeable and fun we thought he had been with them for years.

Bourbon tasting explerience.
May 2021
The tasting experience was great, and our hostess (I forgot her name) was fantastic.
She was full of knowledge and tidbits of information you would not get anywhere else.
We would have liked to tour more of the factory itself, but wasn't able to because of COVID restrictions. Lots to choose from in the gift area also.

Essential Bourbon Trail Stop

The Peerless Team and in particular their staff who worked on the Heritage Experience were absolutely incredible. They overdelivered and provided an extremely memorable and unique experience for our group, including my wife on her birthday!
