My family history led me here to do research. I found so much more. The Old Jail tour was fascinating, for a small town there is a lot of history. Denise, the Director was so friendly, helpful and knew so much...even a great lunch recommendation.

We walked in and met Ellen our tour guide. She was informative and very friendly. The jail is different you feel like you are locked in a castle. They also have a few rooms of all kinds of history about the town and it's people....More

This old building is a must see, if you enjoy historical buildings. It is free and the guide is nice and friendly. A great place to bring children it is made of stone a wonderful glimpse into the past. Loved it!

The museum tour includes a trip through the old jail.The old jail is constructed of lime stone blocks that ate stacked and pinned together.The jail has cells you can step inside of so you can for see how it feels on the inside.I wouldn't make...More

Excellent and knowledgeable staff who can help find anything related to Franklin, KY. There are also tours of the jail in the same building.
