You can have the geological and prehistorical wonders of the Perigord area in just one visit. I liked the "macaronis" stalactites, there are thousands and we could see also ancient mans paintings.

No English translation by the guide but it's France so really I should be trying to learn French. Amazing old cave paintings worth a visit

this is one of the lesser known grotto/caves so you can see the origna 30000 oldl cave paintings , many of the other sites are only showing copies. The tour was in French with highlights in English. the caves are full of stalagmites and stalactites...More

If you are traveling near the Gourdon region, I highly recommend you stop here. The experience is truly one of a kind and very awe inspiring.

The caves were stunning and the paintings amazing. Sadly no effort whatsoever to make the visit user friendly for non nationals like ourselves. We missed much of the detail which was explained at great length by the chain smoking guide. We should not expect it...More

No, you can't but there's a short walk outside to go to the 2nd cave.
