About
Located in the Maule Valley of Chile, the Balduzzi family started in the Italian Piedmont their tradition of wine making. Excellence from the vine to the wine. You can't miss your chance of walking through the vineyards, visiting our colonial winery that outlived the earthquake of 2010, and of course, tasting our wines. We have guided tours either in Spanish or English from Monday thru Saturday 9am-6pm. No reservation needed.

We visited Balduzzi Winery as part of the schedule itinerary arranged by the Maule Valley wine route, but we should had visited on our own, without previous reservation. Fortunately Balduzzi was a very good experience. Nice team, tour in English, with a very nice tasting of the wines and very beautiful location. Shame not been able to take more than a couple of bottles of wine, but next time we'll visit Maule, we'll certainly stop there.

It's easy to get to on public transport from Talca: take a small bus to San Javier from the main bus terminal (there are two terminals located in front of each other, it's the local bus terminal) and the bus will go right past balduzzi after half an hour or so, check with the driver. The tour and tasting costs 9000 CLP per person, cheaper with the tour. The tour was interesting, and the guide enthusiastic.

Located in San Javier, this small winery offers a private tour which shows and informs you of the history of the winery while you enjoy the beautiful sights. At the end you enjoy a wine tasting and receive a glass to take home with you, I bought a couple of bottles of a very sweet white wine which I enjoyed at home.

After trying and unsuccessfully finding a tour of the Maule Valley, my fiance and I decided to take t bus it to a couple wineries around Talca. Our first stop was at Balduzzi. This winery is family-owned, open on Saturdays, and does not require reservations for a tour/tasting. Having been on many wine tours in the past, my fiance and I decided to go for only the tasting. Our tasting was wonderful - personalized, informative, and in English. :) We enjoyed it so much that we bought a few bottles to enjoy outside, overlooking the beautiful countryside, as well as for home. We didn't even make it to the other vineyard we were planning to visit. Highly recommended.

this visit was comprehensive - having booked ahead to ensure an English speaking guide. History of the company, the recent quakes, and a tour of their facilities followed by a 6 item tasting. good but not outstanding wines; the pick was the late harvest chardonnay. They retain an intact foudre made from Chilean oak - a rarity.

We visited the winery when we spend 3 days in Talca. The winery is small, family owned and lovely. They offer winetour and tasting in English and Spanish. Our Guide spoke fluent English and took a lot of time to show us around and answered all our questions . The tasting took also place in relaxed atmosphere. We were just 4 guests and could try more than the actual 4 wines which are included in the tasting. Over all we spend there 1,5 hours. Compared to other tastings it was refreshingly relaxed and private. Not to forget to mention the wine is very tasty !

It's a small winery, but the tour was very interesting and I learned a lot new things. The guide was very good. I was only person getting the tour and I had an option to get the tour in Spanish or in English. Afterwards there was a wine tasting, they offered four wines. Sadly you cant buy their wine in Europe (yet).

Just to let all the wine enthusiasts know that if you are ever in Talca/ Maule region, go and taste some wines at Balduzzi (4 for 4.5k pesos). Very friendly place. Enjoy!

We were in the search for a great bottle of red wine to take home for my father. We had seen the advertising for Balduzzi and were lured in due to its convenience and ease of access from the main highway from Santiago south. The cellar door was pleasant and the staff friendly. There wasn’t a lot on offer to sample and having agreed that the new season’s crops were poor, we elected to buy the most expensive bottle available in custom packing. It all looked great, Dad was appreciative but the packaging belied the wine inside. It really wasn’t to our taste.

While visiting some friends in Chile in July of 2017 the girls went and had their hair done and Emilio and I went to a awesome fresh vegetable and Fruit market. When we all met up again we found a cool Vegan restaurant and then we drove to Balduzzi Vineyards and Winery. Absolutely great way to spend a couple hours. We walked the grounds and learned the origin of the family and its growth. The Wines were fabulous and people were just awesome. We purchased some bottles of Carmenere that we really enjoyed and even brought some back to Sonoma County to share with a lucky friend or two.
