We tend to travel “Griswald” style. Our daughter has exaggerated several times over the years that “we stop to see every big Ball of Twine” along the way. Well, this trip, we planned to specifically go see the World’s Largest Ball of Twine. Once we...More

Yes, this is a little "Cheesy" but our grandsons (11 and 8) loved it and is something they bring up on a regular basis!

Great roadside attraction, this was a planned part of our trip across country and we arrived on Friday night, wish we could have stayed longer. People in town were extremely friendly and welcoming.

The site's volunteers were on the ball. Seeing Cawker City's Ball of Twine was lots of fun, and a great way to wrap up part of our trip!

How can you not love the old classic roadside attractions. Yes it's a big ball of twine that might not impress technology driven teens. But it's great. A lady came by and let us add more twine to the ball, she took out photo, and...More

Stopped in Cawker City to see this American piece of workmanship. Friendly locals were available to explain the history of the ball.

This little stop was so well maintained and clean. Nobody came outside to offer us twine to add, but since it was 110+degrees outside, I don't blame them at all! I'm glad we stopped.
