This was a great find in central Kansas. It is staffed by volunteers that do a great job! The lady who took my reservations was so nice and friendly. She was quick in returning my phone call. The price (I believe $10 for 45 minutes)...More

This place is incredible on many levels, the most relevant being how they take you right into a herd of bison, (safely, riding on a tram) when you take the tour. You can drive though the refuge for free and you might see the buffalo...More

I have been here a lot on their trail rides. The views are amazing and you get to see buffalo and elk in their environment. The lunch has always been with buffalo meat. Always good. They have trams also that go out for a close...More

Pretty cool we went supposedly on an off day. It wasn't open yet. But where still able to see Buffalo and get to go up the observation tower and on a clear day I swear I could see the Rocky Mountains.

Headed down the road to the observation tower first. We were going to take the tram tour, but from the tower,we could see that the buffalo were right there crossing the road just a little farther down. We got back on the road and pulled...More

We loved this! It was the first stop on our two week trip around Kansas. We stayed in McPherson the night before and it was a short drive to Canton. At first, I was sad that the tram wasn't running and we had to take...More

I was able to go during Elk Days in March of 2014. We rode in a covered tram and saw both the elk herd and the bison herd. The guide also shared information about life on the prairie in the 1800's. In April and May...More
