The Route 66 Welcome Center in Baxter Springs is a great stop to get information on Route 66 from the knowledgeable volunteers. They are very friendly and have a passion for the Mother Road themselves. It is also a great photo opportunity of the vintage...More

Such a cute history of these Route 66 gas stations, build to look like homes! It was closed when we went by, but I am still glad that we made the stop to see it. Definitely drop by if its on your Route!

Stopped in here on our Route 66 trip. Very knowledgable volunteers. Almost didn't stay until opening hours, glad we did. Excited to see the old service station had been saved and refurbished. Nice gift shop.

We stopped in on our way back from the rainbow bridge. The docent was kind and took lots of time with us. She even came out snd took photos. You can write your name on the walls and see lots of gas station relics

Another stop on our Route 66 adventure. The lady volunteer (sorry I did not get your name) was friendly and helpful. Interesting memorabilia at this old gas station and a few souvenirs offered if interested.

Great stop if you are driving Route 66. It looks like an old fashion gas station on the outside. Inside is full of souvenirs, info and nostalgia. And a referral, if we had the time, to visit the local museum: Baxter Springs Heritage Center. We...More
