East Grove Farms Winery and Vineyard specializes in honey wine (also known as mead) made from various fruits like Elderberries. We have open hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm and offer free wine and mead tastings. During the week, we are open by appointment (please call). During the summer, we offer wagon rides, and in the winter (weather permitting) we offer sleigh rides. We focus on sustainable agricultural practices, and strive to be pesticide-free whenever possible, and are proud to be an Iowa product. Locally grown fruits used to make tasty wines, mead and cider. Friendly, informative and unpretentious owners. Free tastings every weekend (or by appointment). If you are brave try the Chili Capsimel. I liked the Elderberry wine and my husband liked the Sparkling Mead.

Right off the Avenue of the Saints (hwy 218), East Grove Farms specializes in organically grown alternative crops such as elderberries, aronia berries and other native heirloom fruits. The tasting room is situated on Iowa's continuously settled farm established by Joel C. Garretson in 1837....More
