The Midwest Old Threshers Reunion was started in 1950 and has taken place every Labor Day weekend since in the small town of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Visitors from all over the World flood this tiny town of about 10,000 for a week long celebration which pays tribute to antique agricultural equipment. The Museums are open year round, featuring a variety of exhibits celebrating agricultural heritage.

Outstanding displays of steam farm equipment in one huge building. In second building is more early 20th century equipment and vehicles. Nice exhibit on how farm women contributed to running the farms. Specific farm equipment companies have displays. $5 entrance fee is a great value.

I visited the friday before opening day due to leaving the following morning for Arizona. Last visit was 30+ years ago. Holy Cow! this place has gotten huge.

We went with another couple and we used the whole day up in no time. The other man knew a lot about the Old Machinery which helped us enjoy the day.
