This is a good destination for military collectors. Those interested in weapons and such. We did not have children with us, but I feel it would hold their interest.

We were on the north side of Camp Dodge and checked out the tanks and plane there. See pics. The kids adored this. You can see forever South from this point! FREE! Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. Very family friendly.

This was my yearly visit to the Gold Star Museum and it did not disappoint me. They added two army vehicles outside and opened up the east exit. where two tanks are displayed, along with a large howitzer, to the public.

During Memorial Day weekend they have men and women dressed in different period uniforms. A lot of military information and even an old plane hanging in one room. Interesting old photos and items that would make a jr high or high school history lesson come...More

I like to go visit Camp Dodge to see the tank in front and other US Army equipment parked around the camp. The museum is interesting and I enjoyed reading about heroes.
