This was the first summertime visit to the Quad Cities for my wife & me, after more than a half-dozen winter stays for minor pro hockey. Lots to see & do in the warmer months, but the City of Davenport's Vander Veer Botanical Park was...More

This is a beautiful park to walk around in. There is a small lagoon that lots of ducks hang out on. There is a beautiful fountain at one end and a gorgeous botanical center st the other end.

We visited on a Monday, but the Conservatory is only only Tuesday-Sunday. Despite this, we enjoyed walking around the park and admiring all the beautiful gardens and flowers. They had a children's activity with a pirate treasure map where kids get to decode a message....More

On a dreary, unusually cold April day with snow flurries our spirits were lifted mightily with a brief walk through the Conservatory with its brilliant display of colorful flowers. We took many photos though they don’t begin to capture the natural beauty on display. It...More

I spent a lot of time here when I lived in Davenport, IA. This is not a big park but the conservatory has regular shows and I enjoyed taking photos here. They used to have an educational director but eliminated that position and several programs...More

This park is equally stunning in the fall with the leaves changing color, as in the summer with everything in full bloom. A local yoga studio offers yoga in the park during the summer and there are often families walking, playing, and feeding the ducks...More

This is a small city, so don't expect anything massive. For a small park, it is excellent, with a beautiful fountain, small greenhouse with two or three rooms, small lake and good landscaping. Was free, with opportunities for donations.
