- Ralph WilhelmCarmel, Indiana799 contributionsA fine farm to table restaurant with great food, menu, and staff. If you are within fifty miles of Zionsville, IN, you really need to make time, really, to have a meal at Traders Point. The food and menu are excellent, the staff very well trained, and the farm to table approach is much appreciated. Yup, it is a working farm that covers a lot of ground, has live animals on other places on their property, but this restaurant is quite special in my opinion. The five of us had reservations (yes, get 'em) and we all had delicious meals. The waiter was quite helpful in guiding us with our choices and gave us plenty of time to choose, and it was totally worth it. We had fried green tomatoes, the tomato salad, filet mignon, pork tenderloin, spinach rigatoni, and some fine deserts: all excellent. ONE CAUTION: and this could have been an accident or maybe not. The total bill for our table of five was to be split between two credit cards. The waiter kindly rang it up that way. But when the two of us looked at our two bills accompanying our credit cards, they had an extra line on the paper that said "Additional tip" or something close to that. We were both suspicious and looked at the ONE sheet that showed all we had ordered and sure enough, there was one line near the bottom that had charged us an automatic 20% tip. This was NOT called out on our charge sheets we were to sign (and potentially add in an "Additional Tip".) I always tip 20 to 25% so this was not out of my comfort zone. What was uncomfortable was that we were charged 20% tip for our table for five. I added an extra 2% to my credit card sheet, signed it and left it on the table. Our suggestion is that you CHECK your main bill and look for a 20% tip added in if you are a table for five....or maybe less...or maybe more. Just a word to the wise. Otherwise, a fine restaurant with great food and a find staff.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2023
- martariverallorensMiami, Florida601 contributionsA Farm-Style Gem!!!This farm-style restaurant is just breathtaking! The building, the decoration and setting, the friendly and attentive staff are few of the things that made me and my famly love this place. Then, there is the food...OMG!!! The freshness, the combination of flavors, the taste... Absolutely superb! We were on vacation and decided to try something different; so happy, pleased and delighted we found this unique and exquisite place!Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 5, 2023
- Diana B2 contributionsPretty on the surfaceIt is a picturesque and romantic place. The food, not so much. The waiter kept steering everyone to things they didn't want and looked like he was in pain or something. One person tried the short ribs per recommendation, and they were forgettable, but the veg served with were good. One ordered pumpkin pasta which was a dry bowl of spaghetti with a few bites of broccoli ni, which was ok. Food is waaay overrated for price!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 27, 2023
- Daniel S1 contributionA fantastic farm to table experienceDelicious food and drinks, the staff here is amazing. We both had the Weak in the Knees cocktail, the lemon and honey were extremely fresh. Steaks are well worth your time, don’t forget to finish with their famous ice-cream.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 22, 2024
- TDG65Maryland75 contributionsSimply Excellent!I ate at this restaurant for brunch in April 2024 while in Indianapolis for the total solar eclipse. The service, food, environment and ambiance were all excellent! I understand why reservations are required. The food tasted so light and fresh - organic, farm to table quality. Staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. I travel often and routinely search for great brunch locations in every city. This is one of the best in the country and I strongly recommend adding it to your itinerary when visiting Indianapolis. If and when I return to Indianapolis, I'll plan a return visit. Outstanding!Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 15, 2024

We had brunch at the Loft before picking up 2 pints of vanilla ice cream and a bottle of chocolate milk at the Creamery on our way out. The chocolate ice cream we had at the loft, and the chocolate milk we brought home were some of the best we have ever had. Very rich, dark and flavorful, with excellent texture. However, quality control must have missed the vanilla. It was full of small waxy 'bits' that stuck to the spoon and would not dissolve. Sort of like candle wax. Flavor was just okay, but the texture was clearly bad. Don't know if this was a bad batch or just how they make the vanilla, but it was really subpar.
We were visiting family from out of town, and as this was a holiday weekend (4th of July) we could not return it. I did send a note to the Creamery to let them know, along with a picture, and heard NOTHING back. So this must be their normal vanilla. I would advise you avoid the vanilla (at $10/pint) and instead get the chocolate!

My family and I have been enjoying this place for years! We’ve been many times, and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions. The hamburger is a favorite of ours as well as the cottage cheese, but you can’t go wrong with what you order. The steaks, chicken, salads, rabbit, Mac and cheese, mixed drinks, ice cream, and shake are all delicious too! The brunch menu is equally delicious as the dinner menu. The staff have always been pleasant and prompt. Considering everything is made to order, the wait times for our food are consistently reasonable for us. We understand the work it takes to raise organic animals and vegetation, and we feel the prices are worth the nourishing dishes. We 100% agree with their mission and live our lives much in the same way. We buy real, local and organic, which is much more expensive than processed junk. We are happy to pay slightly more to support a none chain, organic farm restaurant. We love coming to The Loft at Christmas time. It’s absolutely stunning with the tree up and lit! We can’t wait to go back!

We took our family here to go for a walk on the hiking trail and then try some ice cream at the creamery. The kids got to see chickens and cows along the path. Part of the trail ran along Eagle Creek, although the map says this section is not stroller friendly, our jogging stroller had no issues. Then we purchased a few shakes and ice cream at the creamery. I was looking forward to a cold and yummy vanilla shake, but what I got was an expensive cup of disappointment. I had three sips of the shake and had to throw it away. I am pretty sure that was the first vanilla shake that I have ever thrown away without finishing. Although we did not enjoy our purchases from the creamery, we did have a nice hike on the trail and the flowers and patio were relaxing.

We went to Traders Point Creamery during the early afternoon on a summer weekday. We heard one cow but actually saw none! We looked around briefly but was not sure about where we could go. The website and signage could be more helpful if it had more information about what to see and where guests can go. We popped in the Farm Store and made a purchase there. We probably did not even spend 30 minutes here after driving to Zionsville to see this. I would recommend going in the evening to see the cow milking …. I think the sign said 6:30pm. Read on the website about the barns … that was interesting info to know when we saw them.

We ate in the farm restaurant where 0 km foods are offered. They are trying to educate customers on tasting locally produced foods. In particular, cheeses and meats produced on the farm are offered. The homemade ice cream is also very good. The service is basically good. The staff is welcoming and friendly but with room for improvement. Unfortunately the service is a bit slow. There's quite a wait between one course and another. The food is good but not mind blowing. We had asked for undercooked burgers and they arrived rather undercooked. The manager, promptly notified by the waitress, apologized to us and considering that we had already started eating them, she did not make them again. On the other hand, we only paid one instead of two. Much appreciated as a gesture. The place is very rustic, typical of a farm but at the same time elegant. Outside there is a veranda with tables where you can eat. Average price for American restaurants.

Went to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated outside, which was fine. However, we were the only people to not have an umbrella. It was 80 and sunny. I'm pale, and was turning pink. We moved ourselves. Also my husband ordered a cheeseburger. It had no cheese, but we didn't see our waitress for 10 or 15 minutes. His bacon was flimsy too. We were going to have ice cream, but it was too hot out there.

Horrible service. Waited forever for our food. We sat for at least an hour before our food arrived. Waitress wouldn’t split the bill for us even though she said she would beforehand. It was the worst service I’ve had in a loooooong time. We will not be returning.

Can the owners and friends write their own reviews? There is such a huge discrepancy between the best experience ever and do horrible it was nauseating. I have never read reviews about a restaurant that were so inconsistent.

Thanks! Maybe we should try this place for lunch. I want it to be good because the concept is admirable. However, so very afraid of a very expensive and awful meal. If we do brave it again, we will be certain to not bring any guests or friends.
