Overview
More
Min Min Encounter is a unique theatrical experience incorporating animatronics, fibre optic and loads of other high-tech wizardry. The Encounter is a tribute to the long honoured art of the bush yarn, all based around the famed Min Min light phenomenon. The 45 minute show introduces you to the story of the Min Min Light by various characters who claim to have seen the mysterious light. The Min Min Encounter also facilitates a Tourist Information Centre and a retail souvenir shop. Here you can also get up-to-date road conditions, weather forecasts and information on things to see and do in Boulia. The Centre is run by experienced staff who have first hand knowledge of the area and its many special attributes. The Min Min Encounter was opened to public in April 2000 and has been enticing visitors through Boulia since its creation. The Centre is owned and operated by Boulia Shire Council.

Quaint representation of Min Min lights phenomena. Obviously a lot of work gone into the stories and the Australian outback approach is spot on.

A 45 minute show of talking maniquins, telling old stories about the Min Min lights. They have gone to alot of trouble with the sets and lighting. It was ok but not worth the $25 per adult.

My wife and I travelled to Boulia specifically to have a look at the Min Min Center. We were most disappointed. The large building is in need of refurbishment, the show is outdated and the cost, $25, represents the worst value of anything we did...More

We. I sited the Information Center at Boulia and spent about 30 minutes going through the audio visual display about the Min Min story. Great value, entertaining and an asset to the small remote town of lovely people. The staff at the center were delightful.

I've never encountered an "explanation" of a phenomenon like this. Kept my attention and presented in a way that stays with you. Definitely worthwhile!
