I go here frequently with my daughter. It keeps her busy for an afternoon. They have some interesting science exhibits on the first floor and a great play area for younger kids upstairs.

We visited Imagination Station with our granddaughter from California and her parents. They are used to some very nice children's museums in the San Francisco area. We were impressed with the hands on exhibits on the first floor. However on the second floor it was...More

My husband usually takes our grandchildren to Imagination Station when they visit. However I went with our two year old granddaughter recently. She enjoyed many of the exhibits which were perfect for a toddler. She even got to see a snake up close.

Fun place for kids and adults. A lot of neat science exhibits and all of it is hands on activities. If you live in the area a yearly membership is the best way to go.

Thank you for the kind review. The yearly memberships really are a great deal--I use mine several times a year, most recently in Chicago. Check us out this weekend, we've got a new, temporary 1000 sq ft exhibit going in!

My husband volunteers here every Friday, manning an amateur radio set-up. We desperately need more volunteers, part-time. School busses bring children, but not often enough. It a very old brick utility building with plenty of open space, a fire truck, a tornado simulator, a big...More

Thank you for the nice review, Sandra. Volunteers are great and help us grow! So are our members and sponsors. We keep trying to get better every day.

My wife has enjoyed having a membership, and I've joined her a few times with the kids. Imagine a very small Indianapolis children's museum. The kids have just as much fun (they don't know they difference), and you don't have to drive to Indy. You...More

This is our second year as members to the IS. It's a fantastic option if you have younger children (maybe 8 and under... Teens would be bored!). It's a great place to organize a play date when it's cold outside. Kids can play while parents...More

Thank you for the kind review. Our STEM Center exhibits are currently tailored to a younger audience, but the temporary one we are installing this week is 1000 sq ft of fun for even older kids. And our family science nights definitely appeal to all...More

We LOVE the upstairs of Imagination Station. It's a small museum, but we spend at least a couple hours playing with the big blocks, dinosaurs, trains, animals, and magna-tiles. My kids are 5 and 2 and it was perfect for them. I think any kid...More

Thank you for the kind review Kelli. We check us out this weekend. We're installing a 1000 sq ft temporary exhibit that we think kids and grown ups will love.

Yes, the hours are somewhat limited and it's not a big place compared to other musems. But it's packed with activities and hands-on fun for kids and adults alike. Their "Hands On Trucks" event occurs every August and is so much fun for anyone who...More
