Small but nice zoo. Can't beat it because it's free. The staff was very nice. Would recommend everyone who has younger kids to go. They have a gift shop. Right outside of the zoo, they have a train for the kids, it cost $2. They...More

We especially enjoyed seeing the Wallaby exhibits and the joey! They were interactive and fun to see. The monkeys and petting area were also quite interesting!

We are renewing our visits of local treasures, and the zoo is certainly one of them. It has changed a lot in the 20 years since we visited often with the kids. The exhibits are lovely...gone are the days of the elephants and the cat...More

Our family was back in town due to a funeral and needed some time to do something different. What a great place to take kids! Must see

It has well, animals. Maybe 5 or so. It has a kids playground. It's nonthing like it used to be. No rides to pay to ride anymore. Swimming area. Not really worth the visit.

The zoo could be larger for the size of Lafayette but I go to remember when I was a kid and it felt so much bigger then.

This is a hidden gem. While it is small, the staff is wonderful and the exhibits are nice. The petting zoo area is fun.

Lafayette, IN isn't a metropolis. We're a fairly average-sized college town, but with some excellent resources. Columbian Park Zoo is one of the best! With walk-through attractions, such as the "Down Under" exhibit, butterfly pavilion, and praire dog and river otter tunnels, it's very modern...More

Always enjoy walking around and seeing the animals, even just my husband and I go. The goats are fun to pet and see and I love the butterflies.

Yes. There are guards everywhere. Adults supervisors to supervise the guards. It is a great place to go! Now with that being said, there is always trouble makers everywhere. But, I have not seen one instant at this place.
