About
One of the Region's TOP public championship courses, Chariot Run at Horseshoe Southern Indiana is a spectacular equestrian-themed golf course with 18 holes and more than 7,200 yards of exciting golf. This course features bent grass greens, sparkling lakes, lush fairways, and beautiful trees. Both the serious player and the novice will appreciate Chariot Run's stirring beauty and unique challenges. In addition, guests will also enjoy the state-of-the-art clubhouse complete with a pro shop and dining room.

My husband and I went for a couple of days to Horseshoe Casino and we wanted to golf also, this was our first visit to Chariot Run. From the time that we pulled up at the bag drop everyone was so nice and helpful. They have very good rates for 50+ and also give other discounts for military and Veterans. The course is in very good condition. It is a challenging course. They have very good beer prices in the snack bar and have coolers right on the carts. We will play again when we return to the area.

Wonderful experience! From Pro Shop Customer Service Staff member, Misty, to Rangers George and Ronnie and Gerry, General Manager, David, this experience was first class! Course and Clubhouse is beautifully appointed and kept! We were welcomed and invited back with a friendly smile! Food in Clubhouse delicious !

Long drive from Louisville. Worth it. Very fair rates. Challenging course. In great shape. Fast greens. tough bunkers. Lush fairways. Pro shop. Restraunt for beverages and food. Links style course. Carts in great shape. Very enjoyable and good golf test.

This course is beautiful and in wonderful condition. It is both challenging and forgiving, and the greens are excellent. The staff were all very customer friendly, and the starter was unbelievably helpful and attentive. The course was full but we moved along with no delays. Hard to believe such a great golf course would be located in such an out of the way location.

Tough greens. Fast and hard as rocks. Lust fairways. Rough that grows to tall to hit from. Lots of bunkers. Water and place to cool off with refreshments and food. Nice clubhouse. Driving range and putting green. Good carts. Priced very reasonable. Only negative is long drive from city. Challenge your golf game to a good course.

Course was in excellent condtion. Stay out of the tall grass, or you may never find your ball. Fairways are pretty wide. Bunkers are tough, with high lips and tall grass around them. Greens are about the truest I have ever putted on. Ball rolls smoothly, and if you get the line right, the putts will fall. No shade on the course, so a hot day can be brutal. Excellent value for the cost, but definitely off the beaten path, so you may have to drive a while to get there.

...This is a very nice links-style layout with lots of elevation change, doglegs, and deep bunkering to keep things interesting. The bunkers defined the layout well and many of
the bunkers have wispy grass on the back side helping to define them.
...The greens are large with many breaks and were in perfect shape for November.
...We had a frost delay and the starter did a great job keeping folks informed and out in a timely manner.
...The par threes were well designed in that the longer tees have a more difficult route to the hole than the shorter tees (worked good for me).
CONS
...The course had more blind shots than I would like. On a lot of tee shots I just had to guess where to hit and I was always worrying I might hit into another group.

Thank you for coming out to Chariot Run. We're glad to know you enjoyed the day with us. Managing frost delays can certainly be challenging, so it's great to hear you weren't affected too much. And we appreciate the call out on the blind shots. While it's an inherent trait of the design, it is also something to be mindful of, as we continuously explore options to address that potential risk and negative experience.

Fast greens. Lush fairways. Sandy bunkers. Long course. Great carts. Practice greens, driving range, chipping green with sand. Nice club house including clean restrooms, good food and beverage selections at reasonable prices. reasonable green fees for this outstanding course. Nice staff. I play here often and would recommend this course to every golfer.

Better bring your A game. A top course with fast greens, deep and many traps and great fairways. Water and hills make this a very challenging course for most golfers. Greens have slope and challenging pin placements. Driving range, practice green and great pro shop. Nice food and beverage service available. Only draw back is located in middle of country in Southern Indiana. It is worth the drive. Fees are fair to low priced for this type course. Carts in excellent condition. Well maintained. Staff is courteous. Enjoy playing this great course.

Just played Chariot Run in February. Amazing condition especially for winter golf. Greens were smooth and quick. The new bunker on #6 is really cool. Glad I didn't get stuck in it. This course is great anytime of the year. It's worth the trip. One of my favorite tracks in the state! If you're near Louisville it's a must play.
